Imus the Tool

Don Imus has been fired.

I watched a go-around on Lou Dobbs today with (3) black conservatives. Jason Whitlock from the Kansas City Star noted that Don Imus was fired because he was easy pickins' while the black, hip-hip, prison culture is not an easy target, but much harder to approach and reprimand. So Imus was hung out to dry by the cowards in the black leadership like Sharpton and Jackson. Cowards, y'all.

Whitlock , a black man, wrote this piece.

It is us. At this time, we are our own worst enemies. We have allowed our youths to buy into a culture (hip hop) that has been perverted, corrupted and overtaken by prison culture. The music, attitude and behavior expressed in this culture is anti-black, anti-education, demeaning, self-destructive, pro-drug dealing and violent.

Rather than confront this heinous enemy from within, we sit back and wait for someone like Imus to have a slip of the tongue and make the mistake of repeating the things we say about ourselves.

Then Whitlock spelled it out: v-i-c-t-i-m-o-l-o-g-y.

I don’t listen or watch Imus’ show regularly. Has he at any point glorified selling crack cocaine to black women? Has he celebrated black men shooting each other randomly? Has he suggested in any way that it’s cool to be a baby-daddy rather than a husband and a parent? Does he tell his listeners that they’re suckers for pursuing education and that they’re selling out their race if they do?

When Imus does any of that, call me and I’ll get upset. Until then, he is what he is — a washed-up shock jock who is very easy to ignore when you’re not looking to be made a victim.

No. We all know where the real battleground is. We know that the gangsta rappers and their followers in the athletic world have far bigger platforms to negatively define us than some old white man with a bad radio show. There’s no money and lots of danger in that battle, so Jesse and Al are going to sit it out.

Brilliant I say. Somebody had to say it. I had many emails from my post the other day on Imus. I will answer those emails in one fell swoop. Who are you people kidding? Don't make naive claims that Imus said "nappy-headed ho's" because he "wanted to be cool." What farmland are you living on? Imus and his sidekick said what they said because they were making fun of the idiocy, the foolishness, the lunacy, the debauchery of a culture that refers to their women as "ho's." They are ho's and bitches don't you know. One black woman said - on the tube the other day - that "it don't matter that blacks say it. That ain't relevant." You're damn right it's relevant. Blacks invented it, they say it, they mean it, and Imus mocked it. Imus mocked the depravity that was the world before him. And believe me, mocking the nimrods that make up the "ho" culture is an easy thing to do. And I won't even get started on wearing one's pants around one's knees and walking like a wishbone in the hopes of keeping them from dropping to one's ankles. That needs a whole column.

And on that note, do not write me and tell me that Imus called these poor, hard-working black girls prostitutes. You don't really believe that Imus accused these young basketball players of standing on corners in too-tight lycra looking to cop $10 sex acts, do you? In fact, Bill O'Reilly did say this on TV two nights ago - 'cuz I heard him. Oh really Billy?

We all know the distinction. A prostitute is one who gets paid to have sex. A whore is one who may or may not get paid for sex; oftentimes the behavior is pure debauchery. And a "ho," as we all know, is what some black men call all women because they have a total lack of respect for other humans, femininity, grace, or womanhood. They are small-minded sickos that Imus found oh-so-easy to mock. Read the intelligence of Jason Whitlock up above.

Imus, each morning, looked the world in its collective face and he laughed at it. He pointed and he laughed. This is what he got paid to do. I-Diddy was the latest tool of the chickenshit black leadership and the media cowards that hang on to every word they say. So now they'll have to find another easy, white tool. That won't be hard.
