I remembered liking the 1950s TV Western starring Gene Barry, so when I saw an episode was going to be broadcast, I watched it. What a disappointment. General Phil Sheridan, he of the "final solution to the Indian problem," was a handsome, heroic figure, and Bat a brave Indian killer. The Indians, a bunch of irrational and pathological killers, deserved all they got, of course.
