Aware that the current president, along with former presidents Johnson, Carter, and Clinton, came from the South, Delaware Sen. - and presidential aspirant - Joseph Biden addressed concerns that he would be perceived as coming from a "liberal" Northeastern state, and would be unable to do well in Southern states. Not to be discouraged, Biden pointed out (correctly) that Delaware, had been "a slave state."
Is it now considered a political virtue to align yourself with slavery? What next? Will other politicians be bragging that one of their relatives had been a concentration camp guard during the Nazi regime; or that an uncle had been a bombardier on a plane that helped fire-bomb Dresden or Tokyo; or that their father had helped the police torture confessions from accused criminals?
As Americans continue to wallow in their dumbed-down culture, will Sen. Biden next be heard to boast that he will put his intellectual and moral bankruptcy up against any presidential hopeful?
