William Lind writes today of the very serious problems inherent in open borders. I am reminded of the people who have told me Muslims are going to take over Europe. I respond, no, it'll never happen. They'll be expelled. As an example, we had 3000 people murdered by Wahabis, and nothing was done to any Muslim in the US. The Dutch, on the other hand, supposedly the most tolerant and open-minded people in the world, had one man--Theo van Gogh--murdered, and they responded by bombing mosques. Europe was refered to by the Founding Fathers as "nations of eternal war." That is exactly what they are, and this time, as every other time, they are bringing their problems onto themselves with their left-wing open borders nonsense. Left-libertarians, like leftists in general, don't merely misunderstand human nature; they don't understand it at all. They truly believe the free market will unite all in peace, as if murderous religious fanatics will give up their fanaticism in exchange for a DVD player.
