Regarding the Palestinian State, seems to me they simply want to secede from Israel. I would think Lincoln's finest detractor (and I mean that in all seriousness) would welcome greater de-centralization.
On an unrelated note, here in Houston we have little subdivision that was built around 1950 for returning G.I.'s with street names like Iwo Jima, Bataan, Tarawa, Jutland, Le Havre, and Kassarine Pass. Hopefully there won't someday be a neighborhood of Fallujah Rd., Tikrit Dr., or Baghdad Blvd.
