The neocon ode to warmongering by Max Borders, program director at IHS, as noted below by Lew, accuses Bush critics of being "priggish." Webster's Collegiate Dictionary defines "priggism" as "stilted adherence to convention." In this case that would mean adherence to just war theory, classical liberalism in general, and a moral condemnation of wanton killing of innocent civilians. It also means adherence to the philosophy espoused by Baldy Harper, founder of IHS.
The new IHS philosophy seems no different from that of the Left, which is always condemning those who stick by such "conventions" as constitutional limitations on government. As being "priggish," in other words. Has IHS become another appendage of the neocon cabal? Mr. Borders proudly identifies himself as a "neocon" on foreign policy issues but such issues cannot be separated from domestic policy. Instead of just handing out copies of Bob Higgs's book, Crisis and Leviathan, to IHS seminar attendees, Mr. Borders should open it up and read it sometime.
