Will Smith can't act. Whether seeing the corpse of a murdered friend, ogling a beautiful scientist, or being chased by a horde of killer robots, he has the same stone face. His voice lacks all expression as well. That's OK, but why star him in a movie?
As a boy, I loved Isaac Asimov's I, Robot, so I went to the movie. Go thou and don't do likewise. It's as boring an adventure as I've seen, and it shares only the title with the novel. In true Hollywood fashion, it features an evil businessman and a heroic government employee. Only one thing struck me as unusual: the female lead, Bridget Moynahan, is dressed in mannish, figure-disguising suits, while we are treated, if that's the word, to endless shots of a semi-nude Smith. By the way, his expression never changes in these scenes either.
